The Novablast is back for round five—and this time it’s arriving with an extra dash of exclusivity. ASICS has teamed the latest Novablast 5 with a members-only launch and a Los Angeles Marathon edition ahead of the 2026 race, giving runners a chance to get early access to a standout colourway inspired by LA’s desert tones and event branding.

The uppers move away from the engineered mesh of the previous version, instead bringing a jacquard woven construction. This gives a more comfortable and supportive fit which conforms to your foot. Padding around the heel protects your achilles and provides comfort for long runs.

Under-foot it's much the same ethos, with a familiar form that's achieved through a new material. Compared with Novablast 4, the fifth version introduces high-performance FF BLAST™ MAX foam for the most energetic midsole the series has ever seen. Without any change in weight, the Novablast 5 got a whole lot more bouncy.

Once again we find the Novablast series making a compelling case for the perfect everyday companion for uptempo training and short race distances.
